B.C. has 146 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, no new deaths

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 146 new cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia since Friday, including 9 new cases in the Interior Health region.

In the past four days, there have been no new deaths. The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in B.C. remains at 195. 

The new cases bring the province's total positive tests to 3,787. Of these, 377 have come from the Interior, up from 369 on Friday. One case previously incorporated in IH numbers has been dropped. 

Active cases in B.C. have increased to 319, including eight people in hospitalization and four in ICU. Across the province, 3,273 have fully recovered from the virus.

There has been one new outbreak in the Fraser Valley region at the Maple Ridge Seniors Village assisted living facility, which consists of a single case affecting a staff member. 

The outbreak at Mission Memorial Hospital has now been declared over, and three active healthcare outbreaks remain. All three are in long-term care or assisted living facilities. 

Active outbreaks and a number of exposure events have continued in the community, especially in the Fraser Valley region, says Dr. Henry.
