Surrey RCMP has public for information related to a shooting

Surrey RCMP is asking the public for help in getting information related to a recent shooting.

Trevor Robert McKay, 29, was brought to the hospital shortly after noon on July 11 with a gunshot wound. RCMP say investigators spoke with McKay and despite his life being in danger, he provided only limited information to police.

McKay is a repeated target of violence including the July 11 shooting as well as an attempted murder on January 28, 2015. He has received various warnings in regards to his safety from police.

McKay is known to police and he has a known history of involvement with drug trafficking in the Lower Mainland. The public is warned that they may be put at risk if they interact with McKay.
