As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ramp up, there is an increasing need for personal protection equipment for first responders and medical personnel.
A British Columbia website is showing people how they can help.
Mask a Hero BC is a public resource run by volunteers to connect those with PPE supplies to donate, with the appropriate contact at local hospitals across the province.
“Hospitals urgently need more gowns, gloves, masks and eye protection to help fight COVID-19. These are required to keep our health-care workers safe while they care for our communities,” the website states.
“Anyone with unused PPE (vets, dentists, other health professionals, construction, beautician/tattoo salons, other relevant industries and private citizens) is being called to donate.”
