Trans-Canada Highway reopens east of Revelstoke

DriveBC reports the Trans-Canada highway is now clear at the scene of a previous crash east of Revelstoke.

DriveBC reports vehicle recovery is underway at the scene of a crash east of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The route is now open to single-lane, alternating traffic.

Expect delays.

ORIGINAL: 5:30 a.m.

The Trans-Canada Highway is closed this morning near the east boundary of Mount Revelstoke National Park.

DriveBC reports a vehicle incident has closed the highway in both directions between Woolsey Creek Bridge and Albert Canyon Road.

No detour is available.

Watch for traffic control.

The route is estimated to reopen by 6:30 a.m.
