The Coquihalla Highway remains in messy shape as the remnants of a winter storm leave the region.
Environment Canada said early Monday 20 cm of snow has fallen on Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt in the last 24 hours with another two to four centimetres expected this morning.
“An unstable air mass continues to produce heavy flurries over parts of the southern highway passes this morning,” Environment Canada says. “The flurries will ease this morning as a ridge of high pressure develops over the province.”
Motorists are being advised to prepare for changing road conditions and winter driving.
The Highway 3 corridor in the Boundary and West Kootenay is also digging out from the same storm. The highway between Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass is reporting 20 centimetres in the last 24 hours.
While the Okanagan Connector got some snow last night, it appears to be in much better condition, according to DriveBC webcams.
