A vehicle incident between Oak Dr and 14th St N has closed Highway 1 from Revelstoke to Golden.
The road is closed in both directions for the 141.5 km stretch and an assessment is in progress.
UPDATED: 7:15 p.m.
Avalanche control work planned between VLA Rd and Shuswap Ave will close the road on Saturday, Jan. 25.
The 0.7 kilometre stretch, two to three kilometres west of Chase, will close at 10 a.m. PST and is not expected to reopen until 1:00 p.m.

Highway crews are cleaning up an avalanche that came down onto the Trans Canada Highway just outside of Chase, B.C. this afternoon.
The highway was closed for about an hour, opening again at 4:45 p.m.
The slide came down one kilometre east of Chase, depositing snow onto one of the highway lanes. The road is now open to single-lane-alternating traffic, according to roads contractor AIM Roads.
Motorists are asked to watch for traffic control personnel.
