Winter driving conditions persist on Coquihalla Highway

Snow is falling on the Coquihalla Summit Saturday.

Those driving between the Okanagan and the coast Saturday afternoon should be taking it slow in spots, as snow falls on the Coquihalla Highway.

Webcams near the Coquihalla Summit show snow has fallen on the road since about noon, after a relatively clear morning.

Conditions appear foggy on the higher elevation roads as well.

Flurries are expected to continue through until the morning, before clearing by Sunday.

Meanwhile, the roads are much more bare on the Okanagan Connector Saturday afternoon, where about one centimetre of snow has fallen through the day.

The snow will be welcomed by local skiers and boarders, after flurries dropped about a cm of snow at Big White through the day, bringing the mountain's seven-day total to 43 cm.
