The BC Coroners Service is investigating after the body of a deceased man in his 20's was found in the Central Saanich waste collection facility.
The body was discovered a week ago on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Keating Cross Road facility.
In a statement to CTV News, a spokesperson for Waste Connections of Canada called the incident a "tragedy," and shared their condolences for the young man and his loved ones.
Authorities have identified the man and do not believe his death is suspicious, however they are investigating to determine how the man wound up inside the waste-sorting facility.
