Rollover on Okanagan Connector, semi fire on Coquihalla

It was a rough night on Southern Interior highways.

A single-vehicle rollover was reported on the Okanagan Connector shortly before 11 p.m.

The crash apparently required extrication of the occupants.

No other details are currently available on the incident.

DriveBC reported slushy sections on the Connector around the Pennask Summit.

Elsewhere, a semi fire closed northbound lanes of the Coquihalla south of the Clapperton Brake check, north of Merritt.

DriveBC reported the incident about 3 a.m.

As of 4:30 a.m., emergency vehicles were on scene.

There has been no word yet on reopening.

Avalanche control work is also reported this morning on the Trans-Canada, in the Three Valley Gap area, near Revelstoke.
