Truck fire stalls Port Mann

Traffic by the Lower Mainland's Port Mann Bridge was slowed to a crawl Saturday as crews responded to a vehicle engulfed in flames.

DriveBC tweeted a photo shortly after 3 p.m.

CTV News reports the fire was put out a few minutes later, but traffic continued to crawl in the eastbound traffic lanes for an hour after.

The blaze happened near the 152 Street exit. Surrey Fire Service said the occupants realized the vehicle was smoking, pulled over and got out. Nobody was injured.

The incident was cleared by shortly after 4 p.m.
