It's raining rocks

You've heard of it raining cats and dogs - but rocks.

That's exactly how some people described a scene in Vancouver which halted rush hour traffic around Hornby Street and West Georgia.

CTV Vancouver reported some sort of water leak caused the problem.

The road on West George, they said, appeared broken before the water began to gush.

As water erupted, tiny rocks rained down.

Witnesses say the water sprayed several storeys into the air.

No indication what caused the water break.
