Meth kitty doing OK

A kitten tossed in the trash at a Victoria mall and which tested positive for methamphetimine is on the mend.

The cat was found by Brian Boria, a maintenance worker at Hillside Shopping Centre.

When veterinarians tested the badly dehydrated feline, meth was found in its system, CTV News reports.

"It ingested it somehow, whether through accidental ingestion or somebody fed it," said Animal Control Services officer Ian Fraser.

Boria says Lily is doing "Really well.... She has made a new friend, and is bullying two dogs by stealing their toys," he told CTV. She is also eating "like a pig" he said.
