Police officers are now providing a description of the vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run in Burnaby.
A pedestrian was killed Thursday morning after a semi-truck pulling a dark red coloured shipping container hit them.
“Witnesses say the driver stopped briefly at the scene and then continued driving eastbound on Marine Way,” said Burnaby RCMP.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is being asked to call police.

A pedestrian is dead after a hit and run collision in Burnaby on Thursday.
RCMP are at the scene of the crash at Marine way, east of Boundary Road, CTV News reports.
Police say the driver did not stay at the scene and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
