Road rage on dash cam

A startling road rage incident in the Lower Mainland on Tuesday was caught on dash cam.

The video shows a driver, Chris, who didn’t provide his full name for safety reasons, travelling through traffic in Burnaby on Highway 1, reports CTV News.

A black Honda Civic then swerves into the lane and brakes.

"He cut in front of me and he slammed on the brakes not once, not twice, but maybe four times," Chris told CTV News. "He tried to hit me."

The other motorist was driving erratically, as fast as 130 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

"He was laughing about it, thinking it was hilarious," he said.

While Chris was calling 911, he was cut off again near the Willingdon Avenue exit. The encounter continued into North Vancouver where the man exited the vehicle and tried to talk to Chris before driving away.

RCMP have not yet commented.
