Fire investigators have begun sifting through the rubble of a fire that razed the former Plaza Hotel in downtown Victoria.
One week after the destructive blaze in the vacant building, city, fire and police investigators are searching for the cause of the May 6 fire.
Alarms at neighbouring properties went off, but not inside the vacant hotel, CTV News reports.
It's not believed anyone was inside the building during the fire, however, caretaker Mike Draeger is still unaccounted for.
The city says the fire is completely out and the remains of the building have been demolished.
