Waiting for justice

It's been a year since Maple Ridge cab driver Mandeep Sandhu was attacked in a bloody road rage incident.

But no arrests have been made, and no charges laid, CTV News reports.

Just after 3 a.m. on Feb. 25, 2018, Sandhu noticed a white pickup swerving in front of him on the Golden Ears Bridge.

When he tried to pass, the truck cut him off and boxed him in. Next, the driver got out, smashed Sandhu's window with a rod and began hitting him in the face.

Sandhu suffered a broken jaw, deep cuts and lost teeth. Now, he has nerve damage and needs expensive dental work.

“It definitely changed my life,” Sandhu told CTV, hoping someone will come forward with information in the case.

Maple Ridge RCMP have identified a person of interest in the case, and say the investigation remains active.
