Port Mann Bridge during construction.
Coquitlam RCMP are investigating after a man’s body was discovered in the Fraser River near the Port Mann Bridge.
The body was discovered by a boat operator about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, but could not be retrieved until the following morning due to dangerous water conditions.
At this time, there is no indication of foul play, says Cpl. Michael McLaughlin.
Police are working with the BC Coroners Service to identify the man and clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.
