Harrison Hot Springs
Fraser Health Authority has closed the popular mineral pools at Harrison Hot Springs Resort while they investigate reports of rashes.
According to the health authority, one person reported a rash after using the pools in January, and another in February.
"The complainants described a rash that would be consistent with symptoms related to Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a multi-drug resistant bacteria," said Fraser Health in an e-mail to CTV News.
Water samples will be taken and sent to the BC Centre for Disease Control, and the pools will be closed in the time being.
The resort said in a Facebook post it expects the pools will be open Monday, and guests have complimentary use of the village pool in the meantime.
