Someone who bought a lottery ticket in the Fraser-Nicola region just got a whole lot richer.
All seven winning numbers in Friday night's $25.9 million draw matched a single ticket, which was purchased in the Fraser-Nicola region. This area includes Merritt, Hope, Ashcroft and Lillooet.
The winner of the huge jackpot has yet to claim their prize, but winners have 52 weeks from the draw date to come forward.
The BC Lottery Corporation says they'll release the exact location where the ticket was purchased once the winner claims their prize.
The largest lottery win in B.C.'s history was $50 million, won in October 2010, March 2014 and April 2016. The 2016 winning ticket was sold in Kelowna.
The odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot or Maxmillion prize are one in 28,633,528 per play.
