RCMP are investigating a homicide in the small community of Cache Creek.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said police were called to an apparent shooting incident at a residence in the town 60 minutes from Kamloops.
“Upon attendance, police located a deceased adult male,” said Moskaluk.
On Monday Jan. 14, at approximately 7 p.m., members of the Ashcroft RCMP attended a residence in the 1000 block of Collins Road in Cache Creek after receiving a 911 call.
“Initial investigation suggests that an interaction took place between two persons known to each other, investigators do not believe that the incident poses a continued direct threat to the general public,” said Moskaluk, adding the Southeast District Major Crime Unit along with Forensic Ident investigators are currently at the scene.
