A Simon Fraser University professor has vanished in Colombia.
Ramazan "Ramo" Gencay was last seen in Medellin a week ago, his wife says.
She fears something bad has happened, CTV News reports.
Gencay, a professor in the economics department, was in the South American country to speak at a seminar on Nov. 28 at a local university.
His wife has contacted Foreign Affairs, and says Gencay could be without his medication.
Colombian media reported he was seen on surveillance video the night of Dec. 6, the last time he has been seen.
Global Affairs Canada confirms consular officials are in contact with Colombian authorities.
