A former associate pastor of a Vancouver Catholic church has been named in a sexual misconduct case.
Father Peter Hung Cong Tran is alleged to have abused two sisters, one of whom was a minor, during his time at St. Joseph's Parish from 1998 to 2003.
Tran has not been charged, and the allegations have not been proven in court, however.
Tran has also worked in parishes in Alberta and became pastor at Calgary's St. Francis of Assisi Parish in 2016, until recently.
The Archdiocese of Edmonton said Wednesday it had been informed of the allegations by the Archdiocese of Vancouver.
Tran has been suspended while the church investigates.
