A firearms-related incident in Port Coquitlam had police advising residents to lock their doors Wednesday afternoon.
Police say no one was injured and the incident ended peacefully.
Officers swarmed the area around Woodland Drive, Shaughnessy Street, Lougheed Highway and Lincoln Avenue about 3:30 p.m.
No details were given on what prompted the heavy police presence, but the public was urged to avoid the area or stay inside.
By 5 p.m., RCMP issued a statement saying the incident was over and no one was injured.
The suspect was found on a trail near Hastings Street and Kitchener Avenue, and police said he would be treated for medical issues.
