Two additional charges have been laid against a Whitehorse man accused of mailing an explosive device to his brother on Vancouver Island.
Leon Nepper, 73, now faces one charge each of attempted murder and aggravated assault, as well as the previous charges of possessing and sending an explosive device.
He will make his next appearance in Yukon Territorial Court on Oct. 5.
Roger Nepper suffered serious injuries, including the loss of several fingers on his right hand, when he opened a package at his home in Port Alice, B.C., on Sept. 11.
Leon Nepper was charged two days later.
Crown lawyer Ludovic Gouaillier says Nepper will face the charges in Yukon even though the matter is linked to an investigation in British Columbia.
