Hard drugs found in raid

RCMP in Chilliwack have taken what they believe to be methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine off the streets.

Cpl. Mike Rail said on Sept. 10, police executed a warrant at a house on Landing Drive, which police suspected was a drug house.

“Evidence gathered by the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) linked alleged sale of illegal drugs and a suspect to the address,” said Rail. “A significant amount of drugs believed to be methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, cash and alleged evidence associated to drug trafficking, and firearms were seized by police during the search.”

Two people were taken into custody on warrants of arrest on an unrelated incident.

“RCMP remain committed to our effort to remove illegal drugs from the streets of our community,” said Rail.

RCMP remind everyone who witnesses anything they believe to be suspicious in nature to contact the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
