Stolen wigs found in hotel

Police have recovered some of the wigs destined for sick kids at BC Children's Hospital that were stolen last week.

About 150 wigs were swiped last Friday when someone broke into Eva and Company Wigs on West Broadway. Many of them were destined for young cancer patients.

But, Vancouver Police received a tip Thursday night that a bag full of wigs had been found in a hotel hallway in the Downtown Eastside.

Police seized the evidence as they continue their investigation.

No arrests have been made.

“Although we’ve recovered a portion of the wigs, the investigation remains a priority. We would like to get the remainder of the property back and make an arrest in this case," said Const. Jason Doucette.
