ORIGINAL: 1:50 p.m.

Homicide investigators believe the public can help them track down a vehicle that could be an important clue in a targeted slaying.

Twenty-year-old Leonardo Ngo died of stab wounds on Aug. 6, following an altercation outside a townhouse in Surrey.

A second man was also stabbed but is expected to survive.

Police found the second man when they were called to the scene on Monday, and Ngo arrived at hospital some time later but doctors could not save him.

Investigators now want to find Ngo's 2017 black Jeep Cherokee Trail Hawk with B.C. licence plates GH9 59X.

They say Ngo was known to them and the attack was not random, so they are releasing his name in hopes that those who knew him will come forward to help police determine his activities just before he died.
