A collision near Campbell River killed one driver and injured another on Tuesday.
A northbound car on Highway 19, 25 kilometres north of the city, crossed the centre line and crashed head on into a southbound pickup.
The incident shut down both lanes of the highway into the evening.
The male driver died at the scene, while the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
