UPDATE 10:15 a.m.
Surrey RCMP are now investigating after an early morning stabbing at the Sheraton hotel.
RCMP tell Castanet the stabbing took place inside the hotel and the victim sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital.
Police are now on the hunt for a suspect described as a dark-skinned male with a shaved head.
Investigators believe that this is an isolated occurrence and there is no risk to the public.
UPDATE 8:38 a.m.
CTV is reporting one person is seriously hurt Thursday morning after an alleged stabbing outside of the Sheraton Hotel in Surrey.
Police responded after a report that a person was stabbed inside the hotel around 5:30 a.m.
The victim has been taken to hospital, no word on what led to the attack.

Surrey police are on scene of a serious police incident at the Sheraton Hotel on 104 near 152.
A photo sent by a Castanet reader shows a tarp and police cruisers outside the hotel.
Reports indicate the incident was a stabbing but there is no word on the severity of the injuries at this time.
