Obey Morgan Freeman

Keep your feet off the seats.

The voice of TransLink messaging promoting a new "Tap to Pay" fare system and urging riders to be courteous is that of famous actor Morgan Freeman.

Freeman's voice will soon be heard at select Metro Vancouver SkyTrain stations and bus routes in Metro Vancouver.

The new system launches June 4, in which riders can tap in and out with their Visa card.

"Good news, Vancouver. Starting today, you can now tap your Visa to go anywhere TransLink takes you," Freeman says in one of the announcements.

"Hello transit riders. Remember what your mom used to say: Please keep your feet off the furniture," the actor's commanding baritone rumbles in another spot.

The announcements include Vancouver trivia and common transit etiquette.

"This is a smoke-free station, but I'm sure you already knew that," he says in another.

"Though I'm sure you have excellent taste in music, remember to keep your headphones at a reasonable volume," Freeman also reminds.
