DriveBC reports the rock slide east of Golden is now clear and the highway fully reopened.
UPDATE: 7:40 a.m.
A single lane of the Trans-Canada Highway has now be opened after crews worked much of the night to remove a rock slide that blocked the highway five kilometres east of Golden.
You are advised to check with DriveBC before heading east on Highway 1.

Highway 1 is closed in both directions five kilometres east of Golden due to a rock slide.
There is no detour available and there is no estimate of when that stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway will reopen.
