UFV instructor on leave

A University of the Fraser Valley instructor has been placed on administrative leave after a Creep Catchers video was posted online.

The man was a seasonal instructor who worked on a term-by-term basis.

A video posted on the Chilliwack Creep Catchers Facebook page Tuesday prompted the instructor's leave.

The 90 second clip shows a member of the Creep Catchers ask a man at a McDonald’s “How old is the boy you came to meet?”

He responds “You’re kidding me.”

Creep Catchers shared images of the man speaking to a decoy 13-year-old boy and say he planned to meet up with the boy at McDonald's.

When questioned about the meet up, the man quickly walked out of the McDonald's and said he was calling RCMP.

UFV director of communications said the instructor will be paid while on leave.

"With an abundance of caution this person will not be teaching scheduled classes at UFV," he said.

The allegations have not been proven in court and RCMP said they are investigating.
