Police have released surveillance images of a suspect after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a Victoria mall on Sunday.
Police say the suspect followed two girls into a store at Bay Centre and waited until they were alone before assaulting one of them. He then ran from the scene.
The suspect is described as Caucasian or Aboriginal, about 40 years old, with short facial hair and a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a camouflage toque, grey hat, dark hoodie, a black winter jacket and jeans.
Victoria Police say the victim did not require hospital treatment.
