Victoria is testing its new lift bridge today.
The Johnson Street Bridge will be test opened and closed this morning.
City officials say the bridge will be lifted several degrees at a time and checked after each increase, until it’s at full height.
The bridge can open and close to allow passage of large vessels on the marine channel.
