A man is dead following a street fight in Vancouver.
Vancouver Police homicide investigators are looking for witnesses to the early morning Granville Street fight that took the life of Kalwinder Thind, 23.
VPD Sgt. Jason Robillard said just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday a fight broke out inside the Cabanna Club at 1159 Granville Street.
The fight spilled onto the street and Thind, who was working at the club, stepped in to break it up.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Thind was injured and died in hospital,” said Robillard.
“Several parties have been arrested and homicide investigators are currently trying to piece the evidence together.”
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses and anyone who has information about the murder to call detectives at 604-717-2500, or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8478.
