Hit-and-run driver sought

A hit-and-run incident in Delta has left a pedestrian in hospital and police searching for information.

On 12th Avenue near 56th Street Tuesday night a woman was struck by a vehicle that witnesses described as a dark-coloured Ford Ranger truck.

Witnesses also reported that although the driver stopped at first, they ended up driving around the woman and departing the scene.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Delta police are requesting that anyone with more information contact them.
