A home invasion in Nanaimo, B.C. which resulted in a death on Sunday in an apparently targeted killing has warranted an arrest.
34-year-old Troy Dax McKinnon was found around 11 a.m in the parking lot of an apartment building near Wakesiah Avenue and Second Street.
A man with the same name was involved with a forcible confinement and assault charge in 2007 in Vancouver, though RCMP will not confirm it is the same person.
The RCMP have, however, said the killing was targeted.
A witness at the scene of the home invasion said they heard gunshots and had a bullet hit their house.
