One man has been arrested following a collision in the Surrey area of Newton that caused one vehicle to erupt into flames.
Surrey RCMP were called to an accident at 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard at about 3 p.m., and arrived to find one of the vehicles burning.
The crash occurred when one vehicle — which was fleeing a minor crash it had been involved in eight blocks away — continued up King George Boulevard and hit two other vehicles, causing one to erupt into flames.
Occupants in the flaming vehicle got out safely and were taken to hospital for evaluation.
A male was arrested as a result of that crash, and police believe alcohol was a factor.
Surrey RCMP is continuing to investigate.
