Privacy breach probe ends

The Interior Health authority has completed its investigation into a serious breach of employee information after RCMP found documents related to about 500 current and former employees during separates arrests this year.

Mel Griffin, vice-president of human resources, says they've narrowed the breach down to the year 2009 and have found no evidence of further breaches.

Griffin says they have no indication of what happened, who did it, or how it was done, they only know the information was accessed without authorization.

He says the breach would be a bigger concern if the authority hadn't implemented many improvements since 2009 to make their systems as secure as possible.
