UPDATE: 10:45 a.m.
Traffic in the Irishman Creek area east of Creston is now single lane alternating following a vehicle crash earlier this morning.
There's no indication when the highway will full reopen.
ORIGINAL STORY: 8:55 a.m.
A Kootenay highway is closed in the westbound direction due to a vehicle crash.
Highway 3 was partially closed, east of Creston, just after 8:30 a.m.
DriveBC does not have an estimate of when the highway will reopen.
The nature of the crash, or condition of those involved, is unknown at this time.
The same highway was fully closed Thursday night, west of Creston, due to crews recovering a vehicle that had gone off the road.
