Stranded on mountaintop

Dozens of people were stuck on North Vancouver's Grouse Mountain Tuesday evening.

Strong wind kept the mountain's Skyride gondola from operating for hours.

Among those stranded was a visiting group of kindergarten students and a 100-person film crew.

School buses waited on standby to pick up the children, and the gondola resumed operation once winds died down.

Parents told CTV the kids had fun, but were a little anxious during the wait at the top of the mountain.

The film crew said they'll work the interruption into their script.
