Snow for mountain passes

Another heavy blast of winter snow is expected to hit some of the higher mountain passes in the southern half of the province over the next 24 hours.

According to Environment Canada anywhere between 15 centimetres and 30 centimetres of snow could fall between now and noon Wednesday.

Highway 97C, the Okanagan Connector is expecting a light dusting of snow today, followed by 10 to 15 centimetres Tuesday evening. A few more centimtres could fall again Wednesday.

On the Coquihalla Highway between Merritt and Hope, about 30 centimetres are predicted up to noon Wednesday, while on the Rogers Pass, about five centimetres are forecast for today, with another 10 to 15 centimetres tonight and another five centimetres Wednesday morning.
