Police are urging parents to check their children’s candy after one child in Victoria was given a package of Cannabis gummies.
Parents found the package after their child said they received peanuts and a protein bar from a home on Simcoe Street in James Bay.
The label read ‘Twisted Extracts Black Cerry Zzz Bomb' with a Marijuana image on the front of the package.
Police officers seized the gummies and went to speak to the occupants at the home where the candy was given out.
"During the course of their investigation officers determined that the occupant appeared to not be aware of safe Halloween practices and may not have been aware of what had been handed out," said police.
