It felt like winter in Surrey this morning.
Commuters woke up to hail-covered roads following a wallop of weather that included rain, hail and lightning.
Enough hail fell in parts of Surrey and White Rock that it looked like a snow-covered winter wonderland. Images shared on social media also showed slushy conditions on Highway 99.
RCMP in Surrey and White Rock tweeted out a warning to drivers, although it's not yet known if the hail contributed to any major accidents in the Metro Vancouver region.
"Some hills are pretty slick and people are shoveling driveways," Kyla Anaya said on Twitter.
