The driver in an alleged hit and run in Surrey Monday denies hitting a cyclist.
The man didn't give his name, but spoke to CTV from the window of his home. He says he was driving home when he felt something hit his windshield, but doesn't believe it was a person.
"I felt like somebody threw something at the truck," he said. "I'm a human, I'm not going to hit somebody and run."
The man denies being impaired and says he's co-operating with police.
RCMP seized his truck, which had windshield damage.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the incident, which sent a cyclist flying on 64th Avenue.
A witness directed police to the residence, where a suspect was arrested, however no charges have been laid.
"I don't think it was me," the man said. "If I did it, I'm very sorry about that… but I didn't feel anything."
The cyclist suffered a dislocated hip in the collision.
