5 arrests in gunfire incidents

Five people were arrested Monday in connection with two shots-fired incidents in South Surrey.

On Saturday and again on Sunday, RCMP responded reports of shots fired at a home on the 14700 block of 30th Avenue in Surrey.

The investigation led police to a residence in White Rock where the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team made the arrests. Three vehicles were also seized.

“We believe both incidents were targeted and related,” says Cpl. Scotty Schumann. “We’re thankful that no one was injured during these reckless events.”

Police are seeking additional information from the public, and anyone with tips is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
