A suspect in a deadly crash near Hope last week has been arrested in Revelstoke.
RCMP confirm a suspect in the Sept. 11 Highway 3 collision is in custody on an unrelated matter.
CTV reports that man is Anthony Cortez, the fiance of the deceased, Danielle Charlton.
He was reportedly arrested on charges including assaulting a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Police have not publicly linked Cortez to the crash, but friends said he vanished after the collision.
Witnesses said the driver stole a pickup from forestry firefighters, who stopped to care for Charlton.
Charlton and an unidentified accomplice were suspects in a jewelry store robbery in Nelson and fled in a stolen SUV that was involved in the crash.
