Shots fired in Whalley

Surrey RCMP are investigating a case of shots fired overnight in Whalley.

Police responded to the 12300 block of 91A Avenue about 9 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple shots fired from a white pickup at a Mercedes sedan.

The car has been located, and was struck multiple times by bullets. The occupant was unharmed.

The truck fled the area and has not been found, Staff Sgt. M.A. Hedderson said in a press release.

Officers located evidence at the scene to support that shots had been fired.

They canvassed the neighbourhood for information and believe the shooting was a targeted incident.
