Drinking in summer camp

The one thing missing from most people’s summer camp experiences is an open bar, but a Vancouver company is looking to change that.

Wild Rumpus is hosting an “all-inclusive adult summer camp” on Gambier Island, northwest of West Vancouver, this July long weekend.

The company says all the elements of a classic summer camp will be provided, including sharing a cabin with strangers, eating meals in the dining hall and playing camp games.

In addition, the camp will provide all the booze the campers can handle, and will host nightly themed parties.

“Being that everyone there is going to be old enough to take care of themselves, you can expect to be given the freedom to participate in whatever is going to make the weekend fun for you,” says the event’s website.

The $435 price tag for the event includes boat transportation to and from the island, three nights accommodation, kayaks, ziplining, rock climbing, food and alcohol.

The event is obviously only for those over the age 19 and there are only 200 spots available.

For those looking to attend the camp, head to their website here to request a ticket.
