Travel advisory for Hwy 1

Travel on Highway 1 is not recommended from Spences Bridge to the junction with Highway 97C, south of Cache Creek, due to freezing rain.

A travel advisory is also in place on Highway 99 from Kane Creek Bridge to Lillooet, also due to freezing rain.

DriveBC warns motorists not to travel unless absolutely necessary along these roads.

For those near Lytton and Lillooet, Environment Canada is forecasting periods of rain mixed with snow for the morning with the freezing level rising to 800 metres this afternoon. Winds of 20 km/h are expected.
